FAQs
Do you provide a proof before going to print?
After submitting your order, our dedicated prepress team will review your design for technical concerns and send a 2D digital proof of your custom boxes and a 3D render to your email within 24 hours.
Can you print inside the boxes?
Looking for printing options on our corrugated boxes? You're in luck! We offer both interior and exterior printing for all corrugated box styles.
For our product boxes, the current setup allows printing exclusively on the exterior. However, we can add foil, soft touch, matte or gloss lamination, UV spotting, embossing, or debossing to help elevate your packaging.
The printing possibilities for turned edge boxes vary based on the style chosen—cigar style or two-piece rigid box. With the cigar style, we recommend printing on the inside lid or atop the product insert. For two-piece boxes, customizing the product insert is advised, as the inside lid might be overlooked upon opening.
What choices affect my pricing?
Incorporating special finishes such as foil, soft touch, matte or gloss lamination, UV spotting, embossing, or debossing will impact your pricing.
What is the turnaround time on my order?
Our standard turnaround for most custom corrugated packaging orders is around ten business days, and rush turnaround is seven business days. These turnarounds do not include transit time (1 - 7 business days, depending on your location). If your delivery date is time sensitive, we highly recommend choosing “Rush Production” and expedited shipping for your box orders.
What are your minimum order quantity requirements?
For corrugated cardboard and product boxes, you can order as few as a single piece. Keep in mind that unit price increases when the volume is low. To get the best price it is better to order in bulk.
What is the difference between PMS and CMYK?
CMYK is a four-color process that has been used for hundreds of years. The Pantone Matching System (PMS) is ideal for jobs that need accurate and exact colors. This is also a more expensive printing process.
Do you have any price breaks?
Yes, we sure do! The more boxes you order, the lower the unit price. For a custom quote please email us further details so we can put a proper estimate together for you.
Using Color in Print - RGB vs. CMYK?
RGB (Red, Green, Blue) is best for web use, digital images, or anything that will be seen only on screen. CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black) is used for print, such as your packaging! If artwork is supplied to us in a color mode other than CMYK, it will be converted before we can print.
Do you have a minimum order?
No, we do not have minimums for product boxes. For corrugated mailer boxes there is a 25 QTY minimum. Please keep in mind that the more quantity you purchase the lower the unit cost per unit.
Lithographic Printing & Lamination?
Litho lamination involves mounting offset lithographic printing onto corrugated board. Post-lamination, the manufacturer cuts the box to its final dimensions.
This technique excels in creating intricate, high-resolution graphics. It offers unparalleled flexibility in images, colors, and finishes. However, it's considered a higher-cost printing method, typically recommended for larger project quantities in the thousands.
How much does a custom box cost?
Custom boxes are more expensive than standard boxes. The cost varies depending on the type of box, material, dimensions, and custom box design. Email our design team and request a custom quote.
Where does my order ship from?
Our production facilities span across North America, covering both the USA and Canada. Your order is directed to the most suitable facility based on your specifications and delivery address, ensuring the shortest transit time possible.
Can you ship internationally?
Shipping outside North America can incur higher costs, but we do offer international shipping. Customs often hold shipments to check that the contents of the package and confirm that the value of the goods were declared accurately. This may cause a delay in the estimated delivery date provided to you.
What are the colors on my dieline template?
The dieline template you receive from us has three important color-coded guide lines.
Black lines are bleed lines. Any art (such as your background color) that should print all the way to the edge of the material should extend at least to these lines. It's okay if it extends beyond them, because nothing past the green line will print.
Red lines are cut lines. Important artwork (especially text) should be placed at least 1/8 (.125) from all cut lines, as boxes can shift slightly during the cutting process. Keeping artwork away from these edges ensures that it won't accidentally be cropped during production.
Green lines are fold or crease lines. Important artwork components (especially text) should be placed at least 1/8 (.125) from crease lines. Maintaining this distance from these lines ensures that it won't unintentionally end up on a fold line after Production.
Can I add artwork to the 2D dieline template?
Yes, you can add artwork to the 2D dieline template. Our in-house prepress team will review your file.
Please note: Our proofing process focuses on technical aspects. Non-technical concerns like spelling errors, color shifts, or design orientation deviations are not reviewed.
Can I get an instant quote for my order?
Currently, we do not provide instant quotes. The most efficient way to get an estimate is to reach out to one of our team members via email. They will gather project details and create a formalized estimate tailored to your specifications. Typically, estimates are delivered within 24 hours of receiving your request.

How are custom boxes made?
Custom boxes are made from different materials, but these two are the primary options for this type of packaging:
Paperboard: A versatile, fiber grade whiteboard, available in coated or uncoated options. Lightweight, flat, and perfect for printing. Ideal for pharmaceutical, retail, and high-end packaging due to its ease of cutting, folding, embossing, and hot foil stamping.
Corrugated board: Consists of paperboard laminated with fluted paper, offering cushioning to protect the main product. Options include single-wall or double-wall construction based on product fragility.
Benefits of creating custom boxes?
There are several benefits, but a few include:
Custom boxes allow you to showcase your brand to customers using your logos, messages, and artwork.
Custom packaging allows you to create an experience for your customer. Your business will benefit more if people experience and share the great unboxing moments with friends, family, social media followers, and fans.
Can I get a sample box?
Yes, we can create a sample of the box . The pricing depends on the materials and overall dimensions of the box. Our team can also provide a 3D render as well as a 2D proof for your review prior to running the job.
Are the dimensions for inside of the box or the outside?
All of our dimensions are given as inside measurements, so the size you order is how much space you'll have inside the box for your product!
They're always listed in order of length by width by depth for all of our box styles. Length is measured side-to-side. Width is measured front to back. Depth is measured top to bottom.
